Pepper celebrated his first birthday by sharing a cake (chicken and turkey meatloaf variety) with his big sister Rosie. Weighing in (roughly) on his birthday at 18kg, it is just as well he no longer lies on the glass outdoor table! Pepper provided moral support to Rosie today as she gained her third CCD pass [...] I asked that we be catalogued last for the trial tonight, on the off-chance that Gemma is closer than I thought to her cycle. Gemma doesn’t like boredom or waiting around, but in fairness to other competitors in a discipline that involves scenting, I could hardly not ask. Gem sends out confusing signals to [...] Isn’t that the fate that awaits a traitor? This morning, I had to wear a different hat on our morning walk because my usual ones were nowhere to be found, including the “Australian Flag” baseball cap I usually wear in the AM. The resemblance is obvious We’re just back from an hour-long swim at the river, and the bath that followed. Or at least Gem and Heather are. Now, despite their best efforts to ‘help’, I need to finish the job of bathing myself! I always had a very [...] Six months old already! Exactly six months, to the minute. Heather is filling out very nicely indeed. All the kids are fast asleep on the paved area outside, where it’s nice and cool. Heather isn’t in the same league as her big brothers, being a girl – but is a full month (and two [...] So many friends Pepper and Rose sent off their Christmas lists to Santa a few weeks back and since they have been such very good dogs they know they are sure to get some good stuff! Top of Pepper’s list was to see some photos of his siblings! Rosie has asked for bigger teeth… [...] Gemma may be back as a force of nature, but I’m afraid to announce that Finn is no longer expecting His paramour has not gone to term, again Poor Willow The sad news was broken to me not long ago. Let’s hope we can have something to celebrate over the next [...] It seems that his union with Willow (Ch. Cardlenglish Willow) was successful, and she is now well into her term! She played hard-to-get but eventually stayed in one place long enough to do the deed. Once is all it took! Looks like there could be some half-sibling, half-niece/nephew puppies for Heather and Pepper to [...] Pepper and Rosie had a very busy day yesterday – a half hour walk down to the river before puppy class at the RSPCA, a couple of hours out at the Tuggeranong trial (just visiting!) and then some play time with Pepper’s family. They were asleep all the way home, managed not to fall [...] Gemma was ever so jealous to see Finn flirting with another girl! She was all over me like a bad smell afterwards, re-asserting her position as top-dog! It’ll be the first of two or three actual ties, the previous few being too early and thus never consummated.
