As a camera, it makes a good phone…

Some long promised photos of Heather’s first swim, and a couple of bonus shots from the memory card…

…along with the least-worst shot of Tiara tonight – Shadow’s sister!

Second night, calf muscle, and art

So far, exactly according to schedule.  Heather stopped fussing within a few minutes of “lights-out” and was quiet until well after 8am.    Her bouts in the morning were much shorter, the gaps between longer.  She’s ‘getting it.’

She even spent about half-an-hour stretched out on my lap before bed, completely relaxed.

I’m afraid [...]

Whew! Visitor central!

Pepper’s new mum came to spend some quality time with him and his siblings, and we had four visiting breeders here at one stage!  You hardly need to guess what the topic of discussion was

Normally around here, it’s hard enough to find footing without stepping on a BC or a puppy, today [...]

Where are the photos?

Simple answer: the yard the girls live in is almost entirely clay and mud, in the process of re-landscaping.   They love playing “king of the castle” on the mounds of dirt and stones.

The girls are Border Collies.

Do I have to join the dots?  They’re filthy

8 week portraits posted on the EweTurn web site

The pups are now 8 weeks old, and most of them are going to new homes in a day or so [...]

First (published) pic from the new camera

Wonderful to see the detail in the shadows while still seeing the texture in their collars for a change!  It used to be one or the other.   Just twisted it into Automatic and shots like this just curled off..

A not-so-lazy Sunday running around town

Back into training for Utility class Obedience at last. Finally found a reasonably priced camera of decent quality (a Canon EOS 30D). [...]

Six weeks, 42 days. The Answer to life, the Universe and Everything

The pups had a day out of the house today, visiting Auntie Jacqui’s for a photoshoot and the vet for a 6-week healthcheck and C4 vaccination. If only they were as compliant in the morning as they were at the vets! [...]

Day #41 a romping good time in the yard

Plants beware!  Puppy alert!

Oh well, I didn’t want that fruit tree anyway.  I’ve always said that the most valuable thing in my yard was Gemma.  Multiply that by six.

The camera I’m after was finally announced this afternoon – the Canon EOS 5D mk2.  Trouble is, it won’t be available until November.  It’s [...]
