Finn gave his best performances yet (apart from breaking gait once) but was ever so slightly out-classed by a more experienced Ch. dog in his class, who beat us both times. He stayed with me, didn’t lag, and didn’t fidget – but he also didn’t put his ears up… that’s still a work in progress.
Heather is also improving steadily. She out-classed her competition (twice) but was beaten at the next level (Baby Puppy of Breed). The afternoon was virtually an instant replay of the morning in both cases.
There wasn’t much to fault in anyone’s movement except perhaps my own 
Another handler might have been able to get more out of the kids, but they have to be able to ‘do it’ with me eventually, so now is the time to learn. It all happens so fast, after a loooooong wait. Things get forgotten from inexperience and haste.
All part of the learning curve!
[Sunday: Oh dear. Heather was a bit naughty in Sweepstakes, trying to lean away from me, and wouldn't stand straight. Finn had a good run against his nemesis in Class 10, but the decision went the same way as yesterday. Heather performed better in 1A than sweeps, but not as well as yesterday - but her competition performed much better than the past two days and pipped her at the post. Sigh]
