Last night (ahem, early morning!) just before bed, Gemma licked her loins and did the ominous “Hannibal Lecter” tremble. This morning, just a tiny fleck of pink on the tissue. I’ve been expecting her to come in to season again since the second week of December 2008, but not really until the end of [...] Our success rate for the weekend wasn’t that great. Added to yesterdays woes, Novice Agility AM: Blew the weavers, otherwise a good run Open Jumping AM: Dropped a bar, but managed the weavers OK Open Agility AM: The cursed weavers again, otherwise a good run Novice Jumping AM: she rattled four bars, but one [...] We had a total of four runs today; Agility in the morning, Jumping in the afternoon. Things started off well with our maiden Agility pass (she made it through the weavers!) in Novice Agility, thus saving the judge from the ignominy of a ‘skunk course’ (no passes except ours). Then she went off-script in [...] Another two trials, another two NQs Gemma made it perfectly clear today that she wanted to be doing something, anything else besides a UD trial. On Wednesday, we did a practice of the first three exercises with a judge, and she was awful then too. Immediately afterward, we did a practice by ourselves [...] There’s something about Fridays and puppies… Finn is now a grandad, with two girls and two boys born Friday Feb 27th.
