Today was a lovely, warm sunny day – too good to waste. There are no recreational facilities within a long walk of home, so the five of us (the whole pack) jumped in the car and took a drive to where some green grass can still be found. It’s a sore point with me, [...]  We’re back from EPIC, with our haul of trophies and quali certificates It was touch and go at the start, with the pre-arranged handler for Finn not arriving in time for the earlier-than-planned start… but thanks to the Herbas for organising a third rider in three days for Finn – Shane did a [...] Talk about an endurance test! It’s twelve hours to go before it even starts, and I’m exhausted! He has weighed in today at 13.2kg. Having just looked back through all the photos over the past five months it is hard to believe the time of puppy-hood is already gone He had his second swim [...] Pepper and Rosie had a very busy day yesterday – a half hour walk down to the river before puppy class at the RSPCA, a couple of hours out at the Tuggeranong trial (just visiting!) and then some play time with Pepper’s family. They were asleep all the way home, managed not to fall [...] The odour of oestrus isn’t the only thing following Shadow around like a bad smell Finn is making little chirping noises not unlike a bird the size of your thumb, bounding about and trying so hard to impress Shadow with his attributes. Shadow, for her part, is sending all the signals too. It’s [...] Saturn must finally have entered the correct house, because months after it was essentially completed, it is finally open! Either that, or someone finally got around to taking bolt-cutters to the chains on the doors! In an apparent attempt to create the only dog-poo-free area around Lake Tuggeranong, the enclosure has been sealed off [...] It’s been a relatively quiet Sunday. Shadow has managed to ‘kill’ Gemma’s collar. There goes another $20. She also managed to “lose” her nametag. The Rogz collar she wears has a D ring with a break in it (clever thinking, I don’t think!) which has stretched to just large enough for the tag’s ring [...] Another milestone in his recovery and education in canine affairs – Walker actually learned to play with a toy today – a string of plastic sausages on a rope.
